WHERE IS YOUR HOPE?
Psalm 31:24 – Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.
Job 14:7 – For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
We have to meditate on this question of today’s study and search our hearts to find out where our hope is. The government of man can disappoint, men can fail but God does not disappoint on His promises.
Sometimes people enroll into schools with the hope that after graduation, their uncle or aunt will help them secure a good job but on graduation it turns out to be an unfilled promise.
King David said that his help will come from the Lord who made the heavens and the earth. He also gave a good testimony about God, he said that God will never allow your feet to be moved out of your place of inheritance.
When you trust in your wealth without anchoring on God, the wealth will fail you. All other grounds are sinking grounds. They may look solid and well prepared but if you build on those foundations, they will collapse one day.
All those that hope in the Lord are always encouraged and strengthened all round. It does not matter where you are now, your change has come through Christ.
THERE IS HOPE TO SPROUT AGAIN EVEN IF YOU ARE CUT DOWN
Prayer: O God, I put my whole hope in you. Carry me with your wings and take me through my peaceful destiny.
