DEVELOPING TOWARDS CHRIST
First Bible Meditation
John 12:24-25
Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
Personal development is very important for a Christian who wants to fulfill all that God has deposited inside of him. Christians are to be making progress. We are supposed to be in that progress of being changed from glory to glory into the image of Christ.
When there is no more a continuous departure of self, giving way for the fullness of Christ and his calling upon your life in your personal development, then it is incomplete. John 3:30, “He must become greater; I must become less.”
A growth and advancement towards becoming like Christ is the ultimate. Whatever we are doing that is not making us be like Christ does not have eternal value and relevance.
The power of the flesh which wars against the growth of Christ in us must be crucified on the cross of Christ. Live by what the spirit of God says and shun the destructive direction of the flesh. A lively flesh in sin cannot please God but your spirit must be alive as the flesh dies.
WEEKLY WORK
Desire and live after the ways of the Spirit of God. Feed your spirit regularly and starve every lust of the flesh.
PRAYERS
1) Oh God, I need the fullness of the Holy Spirit in my life. Release Him to me in Jesus name
