DEALING WITH CHANGE

First Bible Meditation

GENESIS 46:3-4
And He said, “I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt for I will be there to make thee a great nation. I will go down with thee into Egypt and I will also surely bring thee up again and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.

Change is said and believed to be the only thing in this world that is constant.

Change in life is inevitable; it must come your way. Change is usually not easy to accept or adapt to. You can experience change in different aspects of your life.

You may have change in name, people may call you barren, impotent, useless, failure etc. it could come in the area of location. You may need to relocate from one place to another or change your business or job or it could be change in your mindset.

It can also mean to repent from your sin and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, allowing the Holy Spirit to transform you by the renewal of your mind. In all these, you have to learn to deal with any change in life because some of our parents of the old experienced change and dealt with it and they finally succeeded.

Abraham’s name was changed from Abram to Abraham (father of many nations) even when he had no Child, Jacob to Israel, even Abram was instructed to leave his father’s house and he did and was not afraid of the unknown.
For you to deal with change, it means that you have to encourage yourself with the word of God, trust Him because He is faithful, just, great and upright.

Know that you can plan your course but God determines your steps. Change is not easy to accept but when it comes, face it head on and don’t go drinking, smoking all kinds of substances or sleeping, hoping that when you wake up everything will be alright.

God is assuring you today not to be afraid in the face of that change because He is with you and He will cause you to prosper.
