HONOR FOR SHAME

HONOR FOR SHAME

MAIN TEXT- 2 Chronicles 1:12 – Wisdom and knowlegde is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth and honour, such as none of the Kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

1 Chronicles 29:12 – Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

King Solomon is celebrated today because of the decision he made for his life. The storyline of the birth of King Solomon was enough to discourage him and make him a failure in life but he refused to settle at the level where his mockers kept him. He forged ahead and embraced God dearly.

When people or Satan remind you of your past, do not settle at that level of shame but stand and embrace God who holds your future. The poor certificate or qualification that you are holding now cannot fail you in life except you decide to be a failure.

King Solomon in his humility, asked God for wisdom and knowledge to rule God’s people- 2 chronicles 1:10. He did not begin with boasting of the exploits and wealth of his father, King David. This act of humility in his prayer moved God to give him honor in the place of shame. King Solomon became wealthier, and wiser than the kings of Israel.

Are you seeking for honor? You may need to act and pray rightly. Consider the mind of God for man, “What is man that you are mindful of him and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honour” Psalm 8:4-5.

THERE IS A CROWN OF GLORY AND HONOUR ON YOUR HEAD

Prayer: O Lord, may I never lose my crown of glory in you.
