INCREASE IN GRACE

Main text: Acts 20:32 – And now I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you the inheritance among all them that are sanctified

Romans 6:1 – What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

The grace of God upon a man can increase if permits the spirit of God to work on him. According to Acts 20:32, the grace of God has the ability to build up and delivers to us an inheritance among the saints in God’s kingdom. Who receives an inheritance? A son receives an inheritance and not strangers. If there is a son then, there is the father of all grace – He is our God.

It is also important to note that inheritance is not bought over by a son but it is freely given or transferred (sons of God enjoy glorious inheritance without struggles but fully paid by Jesus Christ through His blood). How can we grow in grace? We grow in grace when we commit all of our being and living to God. It requires absolute reliance on God. Believing that whatever you want do, can only be done through God.

We cannot achieve that without commitment to the word of His grace who is the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the word of God’s grace. Jesus is the revealer of God to man – this is what grace does. Increase in grace is not the license to sin and condemnation rather, is the license to righteous dominion and victory in Christ Jesus.

WE CANNOT INCREASE IN GOD’S GRACE IF WE KEEP DOING THINGS OUR WAY.

Prayer: I commit myself and my future to the God of grace, let the grace of God carry me on its wings in Jesus name.
