LOVE THE LORD
MAIN TEXT: Mark 12:30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’
Deuteronomy 10:12 And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
God is the actual source of our love for Him. He loved us first, and He infused us with His love. To infuse means to fill, to pervade, even to soak. We’re being soaked with the love of God! Now the love of God in us is the love with which we can love Him in return.
We cannot love someone we don’t know, so knowing Him should be our first priority. Those who pursue God and His righteousness, who take seriously the command to love Him above all else, are those who are consumed with the things of God.
Today’s the day to renew your love for God and make up with Him as your love. Don’t hesitate. God bless you abundantly.
LOVING THE LORD GIVES US A SPECIAL PLACE IN GOD’S HEART
PRAYER: Lord God, I renew my love covenant for you that I will love you faithfully and without guile in Jesus’ name Amen.
